By law, all food handlers must have an understanding of the basic principles of food hygiene. When someone gets sick from something they eat or drink, we call it a foodborne illness. Foodborne illness is caused by eating or drinking contaminated food or beverage.
According to the Nigeria centre for disease control (NCDC), food related illness affects tens of Millions of people and kills thousands each year.
This food Safety and Hygiene course is designed to provide food handlers in the catering sector with the essential practical training to enable them provide safe food to consumers.

METHODOLOGY: PowerPoint presentation, Practical demonstrations, Film Show, Training Handout.
CERTIFICATION: On successful completion of the course, each participant will be issued with a DPR/Shell Accredited Certificate in Food Safety & Hygiene.
