BOSIET/Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This offshore survival training is targeted at personnel new to the offshore oil and gas industry. Delegates will gain a basic understanding and awareness of the hazards encountered when working on offshore installations, and of the safety regime and safety management systems in place to control and mitigate those hazards.
The course is a mix of theoretical and practical sessions, during which delegates will be required to demonstrate their level of knowledge and understanding of the training programme contents.
Theory and practical sessions will give delegate the basic knowledge of safety and emergency response procedures when working offshore and travelling via helicopter.
COURSE CONTENT
- Offshore Safety Induction (100% theory)
- Helicopter underwater Escape Technique (40% theory and 60%
practical) - Survival at Sea – SAS (40% theory and 60% practical)
- Basic Fire Fighting – BFF (40% theory and 60% practical)
- Basic First Aid – BFA (40% theory and 60% practical)
COURSE DURATION : 3 days
METHODOLOGY : Lectures and practicals in the swimming pool with PFD’s, Life-raft and dummy Helicopter.
CERTIFICATION : On successful completion of the course, each Participant will be issued with the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) Approved BOSIET Certificate and an Identity Card.
COURSE FEE : N250,000 Per Participant.
